Abstract

This symposium will focus on elements related to higher education policies that affect undocumented students’ postsecondary education access. The panelists will focus on how the policy environment has shaped undocumented students’ college access. Specifically, it will address the following policy arenas: law, racial/ethnic dynamics, implementation, outcomes, and critique. Invited researchers will speak to these particular areas by placing the research in these areas in historical context and construct a research agenda for higher education policies whose purpose is to expand the educational opportunities for undocumented students in postsecondary education.
