Abstract

This symposium will discuss the pathways to success in academia through the lens of four women of color teaching at a Land Grant and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The aim of this presentation is to explore the stories of these women, who are at different points in their careers and present a counterstory of how the institutional policies at this campus/university have detracted or made difficult the road to success. This presentation also aims to present a critical analysis of the issues, lessons learned, and suggestions for the advancement of women of color in academia.
