Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
This panel features a cadre of critical educators who practice the work of the internationally recognized cultural theorist, artist, and public intellectual, Dr. Antonia Darder. Their papers focus on their contributions in Dr. Darder’s forthcoming book, Culture and Power in the Classroom second edition. The innovative scholars will offer different perspectives for teachers and community members who wish to exercise the praxis of a critical bicultural praxis. These scholars practice social justice, educational equity, and emancipation for all people through collective work. Their pedagogy, scholarly work, and activism reflect the living pedagogy that reflect Darder’s visions in Culture and Power in the Classroom.
