Abstract

The scholars in this symposium will present data from research on and by Black women faculty. The papers provide for a comprehensive understanding of the trials and triumphs of Black women in academe. The presenters will identify the current issues for Black women academics, share stories of trial and triumph and highlight what we can learn from this data, and provide recommendations for changes to the way we currently conceptualize Black women academicians.
