Abstract
The papers in this session examine current and emerging trends in instructional design research. The first paper provides a conceptual overview. The next examines presentations through the lens of aesthetics. The next examines people's use of extreme web sites to learn in informal settings. The fourth paper examines the use of abstract shapes in mnemonics. The last explores the use of multimedia to aid informed consent in healthcare research.
