Session Submission Type: Paper Session
For many decades the field of education has been interested in creating effective partnerships between universities and K-12 schools. Extending research and practice on partnerships between K-12 schools and nearby universities (or “Institutions of Higher Education” as they are sometimes called) the papers in this session consider innovations in, and provide research on, building productive school-university partnerships in the 21st century. Topics examined include organizational contours of professional development schools (PDS), putting university professors in K-12 schools, and various ways to reconceptualize the intersections and spaces that join the world of the university with the world of K-12 schools
