Session Submission Type: Paper Session
These papers broadly examine teachers’ perspectives of urban education. They focus on such issues as teacher resilience and the influence of male teachers in urban schools. What are male perspectives on queer content in heterosexual curricula? What factors impact pre-service teachers’ decisions to teach (or not) in urban school districts? This session attempts to better understand the complexity involved in urban teaching.
