Abstract

The Teaching History SIG Business Meeting will include a special presentation by Dr. Peter Seixas on the pan-Canadian history curricula reform project: The Historical Thinking Project. Working with teachers, ministries of education, textbook publishers and others engaged in history education, Dr. Seixas will share insights into the prospects and challenges of a large scale project designed to improve history instruction and assessment in schools.
