Abstract

This three-paper roundtable will allow for much needed discourse on the experiences that lead youth to come out in different school contexts. This discussion opens with an exploration of what influences the coming out decision among LGB undergraduate students. Following, facilitators will initiate a dialogue about the coming out experiences of three young women in the Midwest. Finally, participants will hear from scholars examining the experiences of queer youth negotiating the heteronormative space(s) of single-sex schools.
