Abstract

Global education plays an increasingly important role in enriching students’ learning experiences in American higher education. These adult learners are connected to the world through the global culture, economics, politics, technology and immigration. This paper examined the perceptions of 305 graduate students and alumni concerning the need of a global education program in the United States. These adult learners were asked questions such as what do you think of the program, and how is the program relevant in the context of globalization and digital technology of the 21st century? Participants shared positives attitudes and the importance of global education in understanding economy, culture, and environment, while addressing our future needs and challenges.
