Development of a Model of Competencies Required for Sustainable Economic Performance Among Apprentices in Business Education

Abstract

TIn recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the significance of education for sustainable development, but there is still considerable uncertainty with regard to the problem of measuring the competencies required for sustainable economic performance on workplaces in commercial contexts. This is particularly true as far as vocational education and training for sustainable economic performance are concerned. The aim of this paper is to present first results of a study of cognitive, affective, and attitudinal prerequisites of sustainable economic performance among apprentices in business education.
