What Concerns Faculty: The Effect of Organization Restructuration on Online Learning

Abstract

The use of online technologies in teaching has crept into the academy and much has been written about online delivery methods over the last decade. However, what is just coming about is the focus on the approach to the use of these technologies by the professoriate (Jarrahi, 2010). This study sought to understand the effects of the environment and influence of the culture on how tenure seeking scholars respond using the technology with which they are presented, in light of a top-down request to demonstrate the use of technology in teaching.
