In this digital age of iPads, Amazon, Facebook, etc., consumers are accustomed to selecting and purchasing products and services based on product and other consumer feedback. With the increasing demands to recruit and select candidates who are academically well-prepared and effective in multiple settings, education schools must make better use of their data to support marketing their programs. The responses of 123 unit heads were examined to explore the data management and reporting practices related to teacher candidate assessment data. Results confirmed the use and value of assessment data by education schools are primarily limited to compliance reporting. Education schools need to become more innovative in their use of data to attract qualified candidates and engage respective community partners.
