This study evaluates the learner’s experiences with a web-based social work practice course across traditional and adult learners. The evaluation sought to determine whether there were differences between traditional and non-traditional learners who engaged in online social work practice classes related to competency areas. Researchers used quiz scores and survey data to create a picture of learning patterns across groups. Both traditional and nontraditional learners demonstrated important correlations between quiz scores within the content areas of basic agency skills, clinical knowledge application, and advanced practice skills application. Traditional learners’ data represented significant relationships between the number of minutes they accessed the class and their quiz scores. The nontraditional learners’ data emerged a unique pattern demonstrating a relationship between quiz scores.
