Abstract

With developments in technology, there are increasing opportunities to implement device ecologies in classrooms, so that computer supported learning opportunities can be orchestrated and monitored by teachers. However, there is still much to be understood about what technologies are most useful for this type of activity, what sort of information the teacher can use in the midst of a class session and how best to create such an environment. We explore data from two teachers and their students using a multi-touch classroom focusing on how the teachers used the different tools available to them to support the students’ learning.
