Not enough young Black males are achieving educational success. This paper highlights several resilience factors of a small group of young Black males who are currently attending college. Resilience can be due to many factors; this study examines some of the aspects young Black male college students consider to be most important to their academic achievement and college-going acceptance and attendance. Findings from this study have the potential to contribute to the growing body of research seeking to help educators and policymakers focus their efforts in preparing young Black males achieve better educational outcomes.
