Abstract

Using a multiple case study research approach, this investigation builds upon existing research on early learning and technology to study professional learning in community, and classroom-based design and inquiry practices in four school jurisdictions. This research investigated ongoing continuous improvement of learning, teaching and assessment to identify and share promising practices from the classroom, to capture student learning and engagement, to capture teacher learning and engagement, to document the appropriate use of technology for learning and to identify and address system affordances and constraints for using technology with young learners. In this paper, the research team will present and discuss findings from the first year of the case study.
