The CARE (Cultivating Awareness and Resilience in Education) for Teachers program is a mindfulness-based intervention developed to improve teachers’ awareness and well-being and to enhance classroom learning environments. The purpose of this paper is to examine how teachers’ awareness improved as a result of the CARE intervention, specifically, what did teachers become more aware of?, and to analyze why CARE affected particular aspects of teachers’ well-being and why other aspects of well-being were not affected.
