Effectiveness of Integrating Technology Across the Curriculum: Classroom Learning Environments Among Middle School Students

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating technology across the core curriculum in terms of the classroom learning environment. The learning environment survey, Technology-Rich Outcomes-Focused Learning Environment Inventory (TROFLEI), was administered to a sample of 966 students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 core curriculum classes. A cross-sectional study of a pre-post design with the same sample group to identify students’ perceptions at the middle-school level in terms of changes in the learning environment was conducted. The survey exhibited sound factorial validity and reliability with no statistically significant differences in perceptions of the classroom learning environment.
