Intrinsic to all International Baccalaureate (IB) schools is the learner profile through which attributes and descriptors define the types of learners supported by International Baccalaureate Organization programs. This mixed method study investigated self-reflections of 19 faculty members from an applicant IB school regarding attributes of the IB learner profile relating to their classroom teaching practices. The study utilized Q methodology, which provided the vehicle for uncovering and identifying the range of participant opinions regarding specific topics of investigation. Three factors emerged from participants’ Q sorts showing distinct perceptions of how their instructional practices reinforced different attributes of the IB learner profile. These factors emphasized the social emotional aspect of teaching, integrated teaching, and collaborative, group supported teaching.
