Examining Self-Efficacy in Learning With Technology and Media Among High School Female Students: Preliminary Review

Mon, April 7, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Convention Center, Floor: Terrrace Level, Terrace III

Abstract

Teachers are increasingly relying on technology and media, and integration has increased significantly in K-12 classroom instruction. Previous research has explored the impact of technology and media on academic achievement and self-efficacy in co-ed settings and higher education, yet there is minimal investigation at single-gender learning institutions and high school. The purpose of this preliminary research was to ask a sample population of high school female students to rate how the social settings of TAM impact self-efficacy on academic achievement. This research is part of a larger project that intends to track the trends of self-efficacy and academic performance for students in single-gender institutions.
