The Significance of School-Community Relations to Chinese Educators: Survey Results of Principals, Chairs, and Teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate Chinese educators’ perceptions on school community relations. This is a descriptive study with quantitative and qualitative components to elicit 58 Chinese educators’ perceptions. The findings of this study clearly indicate that Chinese educators understand the importance of family involvement to student success and that they plan to work with parents and community members to create an accommodating learning environment.
