Abstract

Cosette Grant will continue with exploring implications for advancing scholars of color in predominantly White institutions (PWIs). She will apply ACL to explore the experiences of present day scholars of color in academe who aspire towards leadership positions. In addition, she will examine how the experiences of these aspiring leaders can inform and extend traditional scholarship about higher education leadership, particularly in PWIs. Grant will conclude with recommendations on how such perspectives can be used to advance research, policy, and practice to benefit the field of higher education.
