This study investigated instructional, gender, school-level and ethnic determinants of students’ attitudes to financial literacy and management of finances among 4801 students in 25 secondary schools in Singapore. A questionnaire was developed to assess students’ attitudes to managing finances and attitudes to financial literacy programs. A four-way MANOVA for instructional, gender, school-level and ethnic differences in student attitudes was performed and revealed interesting findings for follow up implementation of financial education programmes in Singapore schools.
