Informal feedback seeking is recognized in the literature as an important element for teacher learning and development. This study investigates the importance of teacher feedback seeking from their school leaders for their organizational commitment and their perceptions of school academic capacity through social network and multilevel regression analyses in 14 secondary schools in Flanders, Belgium. Our results show that in general the feedback seeking of teachers towards their school leadership team influences both organizational commitment and school academic capacity. However, when looking deeper at the results for three different leadership categories (principals, assistant principals and teacher leaders), our results reveal that feedback seeking from teacher leaders is the most influential for teachers’ organizational commitment and school academic capacity perceptions.
