Thu, April 3, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Convention Center, Floor: 100 Level, 121A

Abstract

This presentation will discuss the lifeworlds of young children in selected cities within the Asia-Pacific region. We investigate the rage of experiences and beliefs that prevail in children's lives both in and outside of the school in selected Asia-Pacific cities such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia. This presentation aims to bring together policy analysis with the in school and out of school experiences and practices of the children/students and will extend our understandings about the elements that constitute contemporary constructions of normal and desirable childhood.
