Response patterns may impact the trustworthiness of data, and self-report scales may include indices which alert researchers to the presence of questionable data. While caution measures are often included on surveys to check the quality of the data, such indices are not often examined to determine the impact of “flagged” data on outcome measures. Therefore, the research questions seek to determine the impact of the caution indices on psychometric results. Using a self-report instrument of child behavior, this study examines relationships between caution indices scales to determine how these ratings may differ relative to both demographic characteristics of the respondents and obtained results.
