A Case Study of “Data-Workshop Lesson Study” in Japan: From the Points of Schools Integration Project

Abstract

The purpose of survey conducted by city-Board of Education and Researchers’ team was to find out how the Schools Integration Project had improved through 2 years by comparing the data of 2011 and 2012.
On the“Data-Workshop Lesson Study”, the principals, vice principals and project coordinators from each 12 elementary and junior high schools joined with the purpose of discussing the data analyses of the School Integration Project. They reconsidered their own data from points of view of improvement of positive attitude of teachers, parents, and students. Furthermore, it was expected that the each school intended to facilitate their school management situations including the project developments.
Accordingly, this research regarded it as “Data-Workshop Lesson Study” for the project.
