Using Grit and Motivation to Predict Self-Regulated Strategies in College Students

Fri, April 4, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Convention Center, Floor: 200 Level, Hall E

Abstract

We investigated the relation between grit, motivation, self-regulated learning, and performance in 213 college students. Participants completed a self-report survey that assessed two aspects of grit, value, self-efficacy, procrastination, and the use of cognitive, metacognitive, time management and motivational regulation strategies. This study empirically expands the investigation of grit within a self-regulated learning framework.
