A regression analysis was conducted using 921 final course grades for online English/language arts classes using demographic factors of sex, race/ethnicity, disability status, and status as an English language learner in order to determine whether any of these factors could predict a final course grade. Students from African-American, Hispanic/Latino and Mixed racial backgrounds in this data set were more likely to score above the mean than students with other backgrounds. Students with disabilities of all racial backgrounds were more likely to earn low course grades than non-disabled students. Results for English learners were not significant.
