The purpose of this case study is to analyze the development, implementation, outcomes and challenges of a teacher preparation initiative in a UAE federal university teacher preparation program to intensify collaborations and partnerships in the development of an integrated and embedded clinical experience featuring sustained and embedded experiences to produce new teachers for school reform. Candidate professional knowledge, pedagogy, dispositions, and impact on student learning are described. The innovation has been implemented for three semesters with 78 teacher candidates and mentors, and 11 clinical faculty during the clinical experience immediately prior to student teaching. Data have been collected for this case study from identified stake holders using a summative rubric, focus groups, and structured interviews. Analysis of data is underway.
