Qualitative Investigation of the College Choice Process for Asian Americans and Latinas/os at a Public Historically Black University

Abstract

Research illustrates that the enrollment of Asian American and Latino/a students are increasing at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Nevertheless, research on factors which cause these students to attend HBCUs is nonexistent. Therefore, this study investigated the college choice process for Asian American and Latino/a students at an HBCU. This paper concludes by discussion critical information to HBCUs more effectively recruit students from these demographics
