Abstract

This paper presents preliminary findings from a study that explored the experiences of four preservice teachers enrolled in a Professional Development School (PDS) program in Chicago, particularly in relation to the Chicago Teachers Union Strike of 2012. The study more specifically examines the ways in which the preservice teachers learned about the teaching profession before, during, and after the strike. Data include interviews with each of the four preservice teachers.
