Abstract

This study was conducted in order to identify differences between the epistemological beliefs development of teacher education students according to characteristics of the university courses in which they were enrolled at the time of the study. Literature in this field is sparse and inconclusive, so this study addresses a significant void in the research on epistemological beliefs. In general, findings revealed interesting outcomes about the impacts of various instructor beliefs and instructional strategies. Practical and theoretical significance of the findings are discussed.
