This study examines the preliminary results of the Colorado concurrent enrollment program. It uses the postsecondary outcomes of enrollment, grade point average, and remediation to explore concurrent enrollment’s effect on college readiness. In contrast with many previous studies of dual enrollment, it relies on propensity score matching to reduce selection bias. Results indicate there are positive effects from concurrent enrollment on matriculation to two-year and four-year institutions with little effect on remediation or first-year GPA. The results are also subdivided by participation in the Pell student aid program to measure differences in treatment effect by wealth.
