Technology use by school counselors and teachers is often times aligned to increasing productivity and efficiency on work related tasks. However, when a specific tool such as an interactive avatar technology is used effectively, the benefits expand to include increasing student engagement and interest, addressing multiple learning styles, and developing digital literacies. This study explored the use of avatar technology using a web based platform to improve student attitudes, awareness, knowledge, and skills to combat bullying in schools. The results confirmed that virtual tools can have a strong and lasting effect on student choice of behaviors.
