The explicit objective of this paper is to statistically identify correlations among several possible factors related to student learning and student achievement. This paper is part of a larger study that addressed the relationship between teacher graduate educational attainment and measurable student success. However, because of the robust characteristics of factors that, at least in print, have impact on student learning, several potentially confounding factors were identified and addressed. This paper discusses these factors and student success, as measured by state examination, in Texas.
