Faculty Development Support of Assessment: A National Perspective

Abstract

No research has explored the extent to which and in what ways faculty development programs are supporting assessment, of student learning outcomes and of program-level assessment, in their programming. This study seeks to fill that gap with a national survey of faculty developers that asks about their programming for assessment and their own assessment practices. Results indicate some important engagement with assessment but much room for more leadership among faculty developers in this critical and timely area.
