Online applications have made survey research more affordable, expanding it into a broader audience. This new landscape provides greater motivation to teach effective survey practices, as the gap between survey research literature and the survey design process widens. Survey Sidekick is the first explicitly educational online survey tool to provide embedded learning resources, helping survey creators find the information they need when they need it. In this exploratory study, we conduct a preliminary analysis of learning resource usage with the tool and propose an automated feedback system for both survey content and structure.
