This case study examines the collaborative design process of Student Growth Objectives in an urban school district in Texas undergoing a comprehensive reform. We focus on the collaborative process of developing a system of Student Growth Objectives undertaken by the school district’s “Other Staff” work group and District leadership. A mixed-method design was utilized to assess the unique characteristics of the Student Growth Objective design process in the District and triangulate emergent themes. Our findings highlight key areas of interest for districts implementing Student Growth Objectives or equivalent systems.
