Thu, April 3, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Convention Center, Floor: 100 Level, 102A

Abstract

Over the years, the landscape of educational leadership has evolved. Recently, there has been an increased emphasis on the use of team approaches to planning and decision-making. This case study examined teacher leader identity within this context. Data were collected at one school and include interviews with teacher leaders and team members, and meeting observations. Through the narratives collected, distinct leader identities emerged for each of the primary participants. The findings present a composite view of teacher leader identity at one school and help describe the nature of teacher leader identity.
