Abstract

As research underlines the added value of assessment for learning, this project focuses on how students’ learning can be enhanced by scaffolding the peer assessment (PA) process in a wiki-based CSCL-environment. In particular, this study explores the beneficial effect of providing structure in the PA process to increase the quality of students’ peer feedback messages with the purpose to augment the outcome of the collaborative and assessment process. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the added value of scaffolding the PA process in a wiki-based CSCL-environment in first-year Higher Education by focusing on the quality of the peer feedback content.
