Almost 41 years after the passage of Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, we continue to struggle with the educational achievement and advancement of women specifically in the STEM disciplines (Ritter, 2007). In fact, there is a paucity of resources designed for delivery of a continuum of activities that will assist women engineer faculty members in their professional development and growth. Even fewer are the resources designed for and targeting women of color in engineering at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify opportunities for women of color to successfully navigate and advance in the professoriate rank and advance in administrative positions.
