A growing body of research argues that, now more than ever, school age youth need avenues for healing and development. Building on these findings, one large urban school district, District Z, is one of the districts that has embraced Trauma Informed Care as one of its district focus areas. How to offer such care in the context of an educational institution is the question. This question opens the door to under examined terrain. It is not, however, totally untested. School X, drawing from Waldorf methodology, offers one experiment currently underway in that very district.
