Abstract

This study explores what happens when a researcher begins to explore her shifting identity through her work within a university/community partnership with an Eskimo village in Alaska. Using Grande’s (2008) precepts of “red pedagogy” and Fine’s (1997) notion of “working the margins,” along with narrative research methodologies, this study seeks to understand how a researcher is transformed through engaging in post-colonial research within a village/university partnership.
