This paper examines how a Third Culture Kid perceives her place in Anglo dominated culture and how she copes with stereotype practices. The purpose of the paper is to illustrate commonalities and differences in her experiences as a nonwhite, non-American TCK and other minority students through exploring her experiences as a TCK and journey to find her “true” self; and to bring about possible changes for students in similar situations as well as teachers and mainstream students who have limited resources and experiences with those students often stereotyped. Implications in terms of how we, teachers, might restructure or reform curricula in order to bring about the needs of stereotyped groups to the surface and address the issue is discussed.
