An Exploration of the Attitude of Adults on Preschool Children’s Use of Information Technology

• In Event: Mobile Devices: Does the Reality Match the Promise?

Abstract

This study examined the views of adults on children’s using IT devices to learn through SEM. 856 adults participated in this research. A number of findings showed (1) three views (cognitive learning, physical development and trend) of using IT devices for adults are correlated; (2) the positive views of adults on using IT devices to improve children’s cognitive learning and physical development and catch up with the trend can effectively predict their expectation over the increase of motivation of children after using IT products; (3) the mindsets of adults that using IT devices meets the trend and is of great help to children’s physical growth can effectively predict their negative estimation of young children’s using IT products.
