Chinese Youth in Canadian Schools: Four Factors That Affect Their Identification

Abstract

In Canada, research on second generation racialized and ethnic minority youth is relatively new. The purpose of this paper is to provide this much need knowledge by examining the K-12 school experience of Chinese youth in Canada. More specifically, five school-related factors that affect their identification are identified and explained.
