Considering the fact that many educational tests are multidimensional with non-simple structure, the important diagnostic value of subscale score, and the promising future in multidimensional computer adaptive testing (CAT), how to report subscore in each content area is worth for investigation. This research compared unidimensional score, OPI score and multidimensional score in three test situations: simple structure, non-simple structure with equal number for content areas and dimensions, and non-simple structure with dimension number less than content areas. The result indicated the multidimensional model perform better than other two methods.
