Abstract

The paper clarifies how a largely assumed and predominant underlying agreement on the concept of moral motivation underlies the variety conceptual stances on the concept and the current state of confusion in the field. The paper also clarifies how this predominantly assumed view tends to close the door on exploration of a more ethically conducted moral education.
